Arado Ar 199

The Arado Ar 199 was the concept of a training plane for educating of complete naval-plane crews. Therefore a double seat was placed for the training of the pilotes whereas a radio-man could be placed behind with his equipment. The plane looked like the Ar 196, but was develloped out of the Ar 79, but beeing built totally out of metall. Also the Ar 1999 was able to be used by catapults. Some of the Arado Ar 199 saw service with the 10./Seenotstaffel in Tromsö/Kirkenes in Norway. .
