The succesfull conzept using a Parasolwing was also used by planning
the tri-enigned flying boat Do 24, which made it's first flight in July 1937.
After the fall of the Netherlands the production was located there with a
co-operation from the french CAMS. The maritime tasks were SAR-purposes (DO
24 N-1), Sea-reconnaisance and cargo purposes (DO 24 T-1 and T-2). Nearly
255 planes were built. Some machines were used in the RAF, the swedish airforce,
the spanish SAR-groups and the french navy-group
