Henschel Hs
126 |
The Hs126 was a development out of the disappointing Hs 122. The crew,
consisting of two men was localised behind and below the wing, sheltering
the pilot with a glas-canopy. The airplane was constructed for
photo-reconnaissance, transit-flights and light bombing missions. The Hs126
had good STOL-capabilities and was very stout. In total 802 machines were
built. The Hs 126 was replaced by the Fw 189 up to 1944/45, but 200 veterans
remaimend until the end of the war in
Nachtschlachtgruppen.
